"forevering"

Hey Mom - what are you doing? I mean right now. This second. Nothing? Not true! You're mothering. Okay, you may be reading a blog. But you're still mothering. In the next room, your baby sleeps. Outside in the yard, your son plays. Over at the daycare center your daughter blows bubbles with a wand. And you sit at your computer, working, reading, writing, connecting... and still mothering.
Remember that mothering is as much who you are as what you do. It's part of your being, your personality, and your thinking, as much as it's a part of your actions. Mothering isn't something we slip off our feet when we go to bed at night or leave behind when we drive away.
Mothering is "forevering" It's making a difference day in and day out in the lives of those who depend on us for their nourishment and their hope. Sure, it changes with ages and stages of your little ones. But mothering is "forevering"
What are you doing now? You're mothering.
